Most bathroom failures start with water getting past the tile. We build showers with a proper sloped pan and a continuous waterproof membrane, then test before tile goes on. In older Valley homes we often find rotted subfloor or failing cast iron drains once the old tub comes out. We plan for that possibility up front so it does not stall the job.

A primary bath remodel might mean a larger walk-in shower, a double vanity, or borrowing space from a closet. A hall bath might just need a durable, easy-to-clean update. If you want a curbless shower or grab bar blocking for aging in place, it is easiest to plan during framing.
