Ground-up construction follows a clear sequence. Site work and grading come first, then foundation, framing and structural work, rough plumbing, electrical, and mechanical. After rough inspections pass, we close walls, install insulation and drywall, and move into finishes: cabinets, tile, flooring, fixtures, and paint. Exterior work like roofing, windows, and stucco or siding runs alongside. KR schedules the trades so each phase is ready for the next, and we keep you informed at every inspection milestone.
Teardown rebuilds in established neighborhoods
Many new homes in Los Angeles start with an older house that no longer works. A teardown rebuild lets you keep a location you love while getting a modern layout, current energy code, and new systems. These projects involve demolition permits, utility disconnects, and sometimes neighborhood design standards. In hillside areas, grading and fire zone rules can add steps. These projects carry more code requirements for fire separation, parking, and utilities. KR builds multi-unit residential projects to plan and coordinates the extra inspections they require. On some lots, adding ADUs to a new or existing building is another way to add units.
